Sujaan Aryal, University of New Mexico, Graduate Student.
Sujaan is a second-year PhD student in Economics at the University of New Mexico. He is a graduate research assistant working under Dr. Jingjing Wang, and his research focuses on environmental and resource economics, with an emphasis on building system dynamics and bioeconomic modeling within CEA settings. He was drawn to the TriCEA project for its deeply interdisciplinary nature and cross-disciplinary collaborations, integrating insights from economics, biology, environmental science, water systems, and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK). Prior to his PhD, Sujaan was a Predoctoral Fellow at the South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics – SANDEE. He holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Kathmandu University, Nepal. Outside of research, he enjoys hiking, camping, and classical music.
